About the Department


        Geography Department of this college was established in 1964 – 1965.  Since the department has been growing, with all facilities, the department began with UG study in English Medium only.  Subsequently Tamil Medium was introduced in 1967 – 1968.  The department was upgraded to PG level in 1986 – 1987 inaugurated by Aringar C.N. Anna Durai.  From initial stage it was started in B.A. Geography and this subject was upgraded to Science (B.Sc.) in 1985 -1986.LOCATION OF COLLEGE: 79° 22'30” E to 79°23'60”E, 10° 56'42”N to 10°57'18”N, Area in 14 acre.
